Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kamloops - Child and Youth Mental Health

In 1994, as a result of mutual interest, a collaboration between Child and Youth Mental health and Big Brothers Big sisters of Kamloops was formed. Initially, the contract position was created to support a Therapeutic Program Cousellor, however, this past year has seen the position adapt to better suit the needs of both organizations. The contract currently fosters a Mental health Support Worker. The mandate of this position is to provide an extension of the services offered by Child and Youth Mental Health clinicians. Ser vices are provided for children and youth up to 19 years of age. Referrals should be directed to the Mental Health office.
